Estas preguntas pueden tener m\u00faltiples respuestas. En este ensayo, Miguel Acosta Saignes, por medio de una valiosa y extensa bibliograf\u00eda, pone en di\u00e1logo las diferentes miradas que orbitan sobre el genio del Libertador para responder la pregunta m\u00e1s importante: \u00bfc\u00f3mo confront\u00f3 Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar las adversidades que continuamente lo asediaron? El propio Bol\u00edvar se defini\u00f3 de esa manera el 8 de septiembre de 1825: \u201c\u2026 yo soy el hombre de las dificultades y no m\u00e1s: no estoy bien sino en los peligros combinados con los embarazos\u201d. En esto consiste este impactante ensayo, en desentra\u00f1ar de una manera met\u00f3dica y exhaustiva no solo la obra realizada por el Libertador, sino la obra que se est\u00e1 por hacer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Miguel Acosta Saignes (1908-1989) <\/strong>Historiador, antrop\u00f3logo, etn\u00f3grafo, ge\u00f3grafo, educador y periodista. Considerado uno de los intelectuales m\u00e1s importantes dedicado al estudio de nuestra venezolanidad. Su labor pedag\u00f3gica y militante lo convirtieron en promotor y fundador de iniciativas culturales, acad\u00e9micas y pol\u00edticas en nuestro pa\u00eds.
