Himiob muestra c\u00f3mo el confinamiento, la precariedad material y los intentos por doblegar la voluntad de los j\u00f3venes van haciendo mella en sus esp\u00edritus impulsados por la rebeld\u00eda. En la compilaci\u00f3n de relatos\u00a0<em>Giros de mi h\u00e9lice<\/em>\u00a0(1930), explora con\u00a0iron\u00eda y fino humor situaciones como la muerte, la supervivencia de un grupo de soldados, las barreras entre realidad y representaci\u00f3n, entre otros t\u00f3picos. Una serie de narraciones donde el autor plantea de manera memorable im\u00e1genes que elevan situaciones y vivencias anodinas, de personajes\u00a0banales para indagar en temas como el destino, los miedos y las expectativas sociales del individuo en la modernidad.<strong>Nelson Himiob\u00a0<\/strong>Escritor, abogado, periodista y diplom\u00e1tico. Naci\u00f3 en La Guaira en 1908. Form\u00f3 parte de la Generaci\u00f3n del 28. Inici\u00f3 su actividad literaria colaborando con\u00a0<em>Fantoches<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>Caricaturas<\/em>. Fue preso y exiliado durante el gobierno de Juan Vicente G\u00f3mez, por lo que termin\u00f3 sus estudios de Derecho en Espa\u00f1a. En 1936, regres\u00f3 a Venezuela y fund\u00f3 el diario\u00a0<em>Ahora<\/em>. Posteriormente, ocup\u00f3 cargos diplom\u00e1ticos en Per\u00fa y Ecuador. Falleci\u00f3 en Caracas en 1963. Algunas de sus obras:\u00a0<em>El hibridismo venezolano como elemento de la construcci\u00f3n social y pol\u00edtica de Venezuela<\/em>\u00a0(1934),\u00a0<em>Todas las luces conduc\u00edan a la
