A ce sorte de bapt\u00eame du livre, tr\u00e8s attendu, a pris part M. Humberto Mata, pr\u00e9sident de la fondation <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"><i>Biblioteca Ayacucho<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">, qui a ouvert la s\u00e9ance avec quelques paroles par rapport \u00e0 ce recueil, le num\u00e9ro 253 de la collection classique et premier volume d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de six, qui montreront quelques repr\u00e9sentants de la po\u00e9sie, l\u2019essai et la pens\u00e9e politique portoricaine, con\u00e7ue, selon M. Mata, pour faire justice \u00e0 cet \u00ab\u00a0ami inconnu\u00a0\u00bb en mati\u00e8re litt\u00e9raire qui s\u2019appelle le Porto Rico. Mme. Marta Aponte Alsina r\u00e9pond elle-m\u00eame la question, en affirmant que \u00ab\u00a0chaque g\u00e9n\u00e9ration semble condamn\u00e9e \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer les restes d\u2019un prolong\u00e9 naufrage\u00a0\u00bb, une image qui vient \u00e0 point pour d\u00e9crire la t\u00e2che de l\u2019\u00e9quipe qui a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9dition de ces <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"><i>Narraciones puertorrique\u00f1as\u00a0<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">: ces V\u00e9n\u00e9zu\u00e9liens et Portoricains ont joint leurs efforts pour rep\u00eacher de l\u2019oubli, de ce sorte d\u2019invisibilit\u00e9, ce tr\u00e9sor qui est la litt\u00e9rature de ce petit grand pays qui, tel que l\u2019affirme, Mme. Aponte Alsina, \u00ab\u00a0n\u2019a pas de raison d\u2019\u00eatre une litt\u00e9rature, mineure, creuse, ou faible\u00a0\u00bb. N\u00e9anmoins, et pour le malheur de ces lecteurs affam\u00e9s de conna\u00eetre le monde des lettres de cette \u00eele combattante, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9, comme plusieurs petites nations, historiquement exclue de la grande industrie \u00e9ditoriales. C\u2019est pour cela que la compilatrice des <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"><i>Narraciones puertorrique\u00f1as <\/i><\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\">remercie grandement l\u2019initiative de <\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"><i>Biblioteca Ayacucho<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"fr-FR\"> qui, selon elle, est n\u00e9e avec une \u00ab\u00a0vision de tol\u00e9rance et de diffuser le patrimoine culturel d\u2019Am\u00e9rique latine\u00a0\u00bb, de publier cette r\u00e9vision de la litt\u00e9rature portoricaine et dont le premier volume, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 hier, comprend des \u0153uvres de 47 auteurs de la p\u00e9riode 1849-1975. L\u2019\u00e9lection chronologique r\u00e9pond, d\u2019apr\u00e8s Marta Aponte Alsina, \u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 la maigre offre de textes du XIXe si\u00e8cle et des premi\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies du XXe\u00a0\u00bb.
